about

The Rest Is Noise is based on Tuesdays Post (www.tuesdayspost.com) performances from April to October 2014. Thom Yorke may just have upstaged us with an 18 day long song, but it's hard to imagine anyone being able to listen to that in one session. Whereas The Rest Is Noise - short by comparison at just under 4 hours - is a virtual boxed set, edited and mastered for your extended listening pleasure. It's the evolving live Darkroom sound captured and distilled, from serene ambience to noise furnace, together with photography for each piece by new collaborator Israel Denadai.

about

Darkroom London, UK

Darkroom’s music starts with improvisation and a unique approach to sound design. By turns beautiful and beautifully ugly, this is a very human music despite the inevitable technology that produces it. Guitar but not guitar; synthesizers but not keyboards - the lines between guitar and electronics are consistently blurred, along with those between improvisation and composition. ... more
